November 25, 2009 (Wakefield, RI)- Dennis Moffitt Painting is proud to announce the 1st Annual Thanksgiving Painting Makeover Giveaway winner is Ray Wilkinson of Wakefield, RI . There were over 30 entries into this year’s Giveaway.
Ray Wilkinson has been the head custodian at Peacedale Elementary School for as long as anyone can remember. What he has done tirelessly for the students and teachers has been truly remarkable. Ray has been a coach for the Special Olympics for over 20 years. Ray spends most of his time working, caring for his family or donating his time to others that are in need.
The 2009 recession has meant tough economic times for many people throughout the RI, from North Kingstown to West Greenwich; DMP wants to help its local community by providing free services to a family struggling with financial burden. Close to 30 local businesses came together to make this Giveaway possible. In addition to DMP’s interior makeover totaling $7,500, Grandscapes of Charlestown has donated a new driveway, sod and plantings. Smithco Oil of Wakefield has donated 150 gallons of heating oil. Hampton Inn has agreed to house the family while the work is being completed. Mike Moffitt of DMP, mentioned, “The support for this event from the entire community has been especially comforting in this type of economy. Everyone that I have mentioned it to has been jumping at the chance to get involved.”
Winner to be announced at the winner’s home, on Thanksgiving morning, by owners of Dennis Moffitt Painting, Dennis and Michael Moffitt.
